In order to celebrate the opening of the first Salvatore Ferragamo flagship store at the Kurfürstendamm in Berlin, Ferruccio Ferragamo welcomed together other members of the family about 350 guests for a cocktail on 290-square metres on April 14, 2016 . After the cocktail, selected guests and VIP’s, including Bettina Zimmermann, Cathy Hummels, Sandra von Ruffin, Marie Nasemann, Gräfin Tamara von Nayhauß-Cormons, Alexandra Oetker and Prinzessin Dr. Gabriela zu Leiningen were invited by the Italian ambassador H.E. Pietro Benassi and Ferruccio Ferragamo to an exclusive and private dinner at the Italian Embassy
where they enjoyed culinary delicacies curated by Michelin starred chef Fulvio Pierangelini, Creative Director of Food of Rocco Forte Hotels. Furthermore an one-night-only exhibition entitled She’s Like a Rainbow, which showcased the luxury Italian House’s 100-year ties to the world of cinema: Paying homage to Salvatore Ferragamo’s many glamorous clients and muses – including Audrey Hepburn, Judy Garland, Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich and Brigitte Bardot – the display featured some precious models from the Ferragamo's Creations line.
